Restaurant Minoas in Hagenbach

Small & simple Greek restaurant with friendly staff. I was served a super delicious dish (gyros baked with metaxa sauce). Gladly again at any time!

We were here for dinner with 6 people, the food was fine, nothing out of the ordinary. We were well served by the waiter, unfortunately he was alone for all the tables, which showed that he was a little overwhelmed. I think that one serving is not enough for all tables. The prices are ok, like other Greeks in the area. All in all, average.

We were in the restaurant with 11 people tonight. The waitress tried to serve us as well as possible. My husband and I had 3 x cola light, 2 x small mixed salad, pita bread, 2 x rice and 2 x the vegetable platter. We had explicitly pointed out when ordering that the salad comes with vinegar and oil and the vegetable platter completely without cheese. The drinks came, everything was okay. The pita bread was very greasy, which, contrary to the announcement due to a demand and the small mixed salad subsequently delivered, came as PURE green feed in oil potions. No other kind of salad. When I looked at the "normal" side salads with the main dishes of the other guests, I felt foolish to say the least. Neither from the kitchen nor from the service the advice that if you like vinegar oil you get a stripped down version for the same price ..... That was the first two stars less ...... Then the main courses came. I have to say optically large portions ..... but little tzatziki .... Then came 2x vegetable plate Lachanika. According to the menu, a vegetable platter with sheep's cheese, grilled mushroom, green beans, summer vegetables and thick Greek beans. Mind you, the whole thing was ordered without sheep cheese, since we both eat vegan. There was a plate with cauliflower and broccoli drowned in pack hollandaise, on the other hand a cooked tomato also with this sauce ..... in the middle something indefinable about items with a tomato sauce with white pieces. We both looked at the service staff and asked what that was ... Above all that was ordered on purpose without cheese and the like. So the whole thing went back to making again without cheese and cheese sauce ...... Then came the side dish of rice. Trister rice with soup vegetables without much seasoning or tomato sauce and so on .... especially no 5 forks ... Then came the correction of the vegetable platter. On the one hand with breaded sheep's cheese and the white flakes in the tomato sauce. On request it was assured that it was not cheese, the others said it was cheese ..... great. So again 2 stars less. Cauliflower and broccoli were tasteless, also the mushy tomato filled with rice (should see a grill). The green beans were beyond the cooking time ... and of course drowned in a tomato sauce with cheese that didn't taste like anything. It was the same with broad beans and grilled mushrooms. I still wonder what is really worth € 12.90 ..... Also that the wishes of the customers did not make it from the service to the kitchen ..... Okay I can understand what the vegan is looking for in the Greek, it's just a family celebration .... It would also be nice if the service would only take 11 guests in the restaurant and ask for drinks. You can expect that. Then paying € 49.10 was not successful. I would expect something different with summer vegetables. Especially not just cheese cheese cheese. Perhaps you should rethink the menu and mention the sauces on the menu. Furthermore, everyone was not enthusiastic about the performance of the kitchen that evening. Also was several bad .... So not a second time ...

Original and friendly restaurant, we ate well, the service is fast and the dishes are plentiful.

well We have been there several times now, but have found, when there is more going on, that the sauces are thick (like pudding) and the food loses its taste. Today we were there with 14 people including children, we had good and not so good dishes. We paid a total of almost € 300 and didn't even get an ouzo, which is actually normal in a Greek restaurant, and our male waitress was a little overwhelmed with the bills, instead of bringing the whole bill to the table, he noted every couple that had run to the checkout read out an invoice and came back to the checkout and finally found that something had not yet been paid. The payment took almost half an hour. We will not go to the Minoas restaurant in the future !!!

This restaurant is really good, the food is extremely good and well presented, the service is impeccable and friendly. And the originality of its location is enough to make it its next destination. You can observe the equestrian work in a carousel while remaining to taste his dish at the table.

Is somehow hidden at first sight. Happened to land there Were pleasantly surprised. The service and boss were very nice. We had different entrees and main courses and were all very satisfied. Delicious and very rich for not very expensive Ousso offered as a digestive. I recommend.😉
